Schoolvenirs is the idea of pupils from Oundle School competing in the Peter Jones Tycoon Enterprise competition.  We are a small business based in Oundle, England, specialising in creating unique and creative souvenirs from old school furniture and sports equipment. Our passion for this enterprise began in 2023 and we have learnt invaluable lessons from the beginning.  We produce distinctive and sustainable souvenirs that showcase our commitment to the environment. We take pride in offering our customers an exceptional shopping experience and look forward to continuing our work for many years to come. Our team of six students were originally inspired to compete in the Peter Jones Tycoon Enterprise competition but our love for the idea, process and business acumen has taken us beyond competing and into a business we would like to see grow.

The steps to production were not easy as we had to battle to find all our materials and ensure the most efficient way of executing our designs. Our first step was to collect old rugby and netballs from our sports department which would have ended up in landfill. Next, we spoke to our buildings department who kindly agreed to help us find recycled wood from old lab benches and desks. We then proceeded to design our first prototypes.
